Chanelle Lee (Brunswick, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep) led the Blazers with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two blocked shots.
Na'Vaye Quarles (Glen Burnie, Md./North County) tallied up nine points and six assists.

How it Happened
The game began with Hood going on a 10 point scoring run. The game started with a made layup by Manning followed by a three pointer by Quarles. Then two made layups by Lee and Austin along with a made free throw by Austin that gave the Blazers a 10 point cushion. In the final minute of the quarter
Sami Betley (Bel Air, Md./Mercy) made a lay up and Lee knocked down a three pointer to give the Blazers a 15 point lead going into the second quarter.
The second quarter of play began with two made free throws from
Amari Faust (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) which gave Hood its second highest lead of the game with 17 points over the Eagles. Closing out the quarter the Eagles and the Blazers both traded baskets concluding the first half with a score of 30-21 in favor of Hood.
Entering the second half of play Hood would continue to keep its lead as Lee picked up the most points in the quarter with six.
Going into the final quarter of play
Nikki Etchison (Ijamsville, MD/Oakdale) added on to Hood's lead with a three pointer of her own. Four minutes later Austin would give Hood its biggest lead on the day with a made layup. This would bring the Blazers up 18 points. In the last minutes of the match two made free throws by Quarles and a made lay up by Lee closed out the games scoring ending with a score of 52-43.
For the Opponent
Jeriyah Jonson was credited with 15 points and three assists.
Taryn Woodson had 10 points and one assist on the day.
Analysis
Hood shot 32.1 percent from the field compared to Eastern's 25.5 percent.
The Blazers out scored the Eagles in points in the paint 24-18.
Notes
Hood advances to 1-3 in conference and 2-12 overall, while Eastern falls to 2-2 in conference and 6-8 overall.
This game would be marked as the least amount of points against for the current season as the Blazers only allowed 43 points.
When asked about the outcome of the game, Head Coach DéRonté Polite said, "I loved our start to the game. It was much different than our previous game. It wasn't pretty but we found a way to win. I'm proud of our growth."
