FREDERICK, Md. – Women's soccer finishes with their sixth 0-0 draw of the season in their opening match of conference play against Stevenson on Saturday afternoon.
Inside the Box Score
Katy Grow (Sykesville, Md./Century) had four shots on the night.
Adrianna Escobar (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) had three shots.
Brenna Ellenberger (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) had a pair of saves.
How it Happened
Although the Blazers have lacked offensive pressure on teams this year, they were able to put shots up early.
Escobar was found in traffic and took a shot from 30 feet out and it nearly knocked over the Stevenson goalkeeper as save was being made.
The Mustangs found the most trouble in their own territory as the freshman forward
Kiley O'Grady (Frederick, Md/Oakdale) continuously pestered the Stevenson backs by intercepting passes and preventing the crossing of midfield.
A corner late in the first half for the Blazers resulted in two headers being rejected by crossbar and the other off the head an opposing defender but no score.
Analysis
Hood had 14 shots on the night, nine in the first half.
Hood breaks a program record for draws in a season with six, their previous record came from the 6-7-5 record in the 2022 campaign.
