How it Happened
  • Bridgewater came out the gates early scoring the first goal of the game just a minute into play. The Blazers responded with a goal of their own after Pickett found the back of the net after a free position shot. Just one minute later Demaio scored a goal putting the Blazers up 2-1 over the Eagles. Bridgewater then managed to put together a three point scoring run, going up on the Blazers 4-2 before the second quarter.
  • The Eagles carried their scoring run into the next quarter after Lauren Roberts scored a goal for Bridgewater just twenty seconds into the second. Then just thirty seconds later at 14:10 Pickett cut the Eagles' run with another goal for the Blazers off of a free position shot. Bridgewater then pulled off another three point scoring run with goals all in the same minute of each other. The Eagles run scoring run would come to an end once again after the team received a green card that the Blazers then capitalized off with a man-up goal by Stanley assisted by Laney Goldrick (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point). Following the extra man opportunity Bridgewater's Lauren Roberts managed to find the back of the net at 10:01. With five minutes left in the first half Demaio brought hood within four scoring off a free position shot. Then at 3:53 Madalaine Godat scored a goal for the Eagles making it 10-5 going into the third quarter.
  • Starting out the third quarter Bridgewater would seem to be slipping away early after scoring three consecutive goals in the first eight minutes of the second half. The Blazers put together a three point scoring run of their own. The run began with a won draw control Bolingbroke resulting in a Blazer possession leading into a score by Gregory. Then with five minutes left in the quarter Demaio scored again for the Blazers off a free position shot. Lastly, Pickett scored for Hood making the score 13-8 until Ashley Venit scored for the Eagles with just three minutes prior to end of the quarter.
  • In the final quarter of play both teams would each score once. For the Eagles  Paige Mayers capitalized off an extra man opportunity and then Demaio scored her fourth goal for the Blazers off an assist from Gregory closing out the scoring for the match 15-9 in favor of Bridgewater.
