Hood 8, Wisconsin-Stout 6

Munson would follow with a base hit up the middle to cut the score to 3-2.
-
After another score for Wisconsin-Stout in the fifth, the Blazers would benefit from another Cohen double to score two more to put the score 4-4. With the game tied, Robin Charlton (Philadelphia, Pa./MaST Community Charter School II) pinch-hit for the Blazers and crushed a double to left field and drove in both Cohen and Hetzel to give Hood the lead 6-4.
-
The following inning, the Blazers tacked on two more runs as an errant throw from the third baseman caused Cohen to reach first base and Saunders and Munson to score.
-
The Blue Devils waited until two outs in the seventh to put pressure on Gottleib and put two runs across and had the tying run in the batter's box, however Gottleib got the final batter of the game to swing at strike three.
Hood 7, Augsburg 3
-
Hood took game one momentum into game two as they put a 4-1 score after three innings. The Blazer put the pressure on Auggie fielders and scored on error, wild pitch, and fielder's choice.
-
Augsburg struggled to start offensively as Sara Munson (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) kept them in check for four innings of work only allowing one run. The fifth inning brought life as the Auggies strung together a couple of hits and a big hit by Augsburg's Pilon scored for a 5-3 score.
-
Gottleib came in to close the final innings of the game and not only prevented any more runs crossing home for the Auggies, joined Pfleiger in the seventh inning with an RBI single to add insurance runs for the Blazers.
