How it Happened
- The Blazers opened the scoring for the match with an 8-meter strike from Russell in the first four minutes of play. With four minutes to go in the first quarter the Pride snuck in two goals to go up 2-1 over the Blazers heading into the second.
- Starting out the second Widener's Catherine Scott and Jessica Mantz each scored for the Pride to extend the lead until Przybocki was granted a free position shot to cut the Pride's lead making it 4-2. Before the halftime buzzer Widener knocked down two more goals as the scoreboard read 6-2 in favor of the Pride heading into the third quarter.
- In the third quarter of play Gregory put the Blazers back on the board making it 6-3 and then Widener responded with a goal of its own two minutes later. Then with a little over nine minutes left in the quarter, Gregory scored another goal for Hood. Following up Gregory's goal Burnette took advantage of an extra man opportunity that would cut Widener's lead to two points. With three minutes left to go in the quarter the Pride's Jamie Dehaven found the back of the net making the score 8-5 heading into the fourth.
- In the final quarter of play at 8:42 Widener netted another goal extending its lead to four points. Hood showed signs of a late comeback going on a two-goal scoring run with Wright and Demaio scoring two goals each; however, time was not on Hood's side as in the final four seconds of play Widener's Alex Krohn scored a cheeky goal to solidify the Pride's 10-7 victory.
