How it Happened
The Blazers started off hot, as Scally went from the 16-yard all the way to the front of the goal to score the first of the game, stick-handling between three defenders as well as the goalie to get the easy tap-in.
Despite Hood keeping up the offensive pressure as Eastern Mennonite continued to give up penalty corners, they were unable to add anymore goals before the end of the first quarter
Not much changed in terms of pressure in the second quarter, as the Blazers continued to pepper shots on goal for 14 straight minutes before Moreno and Kodrin managed to put two in the back of the goal in 35 seconds to make Hood's lead 3-0 at halftime.
Despite getting some possession on the Blazers' side of the field, the Royals could not generate any offense of their own in the third quarter, with Hood getting plenty of chances the entire period. With three minutes left, the Blazers finally managed to cash in on a penalty corner when Butler tipped a low shot from Bentz in front of the goal to send the ball into the top corner of the goal.
Heading into the fourth quarter with a 4-0 advantage, Hood had no plans of relaxing for a second, continuing to throw up shot after shot before Dainton got her first collegiate goal to put the icing on the cake of a 5-0 win.
