IJAMSVILLE, Md. - The men's golf team took today's banner shooting three strokes ahead of opposing McDaniel golfers.
Will Kujawa (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) placed first in individuals shooting a 70 while
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) in his first collegiate round shot a 73 to park just behind Kujawa in 2nd place.
On the Scorecards
Kohut was the first to tee off today and proceeded to birdie four holes on the front nine. Kohut sat with the lead as pairings finished the round until Kujawa stayed out of trouble at holes surrounding the turn to sneak into first.
Brady Leonard (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) shot a 75 to land in a tie for 4th place.
Nathan Leppo (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) shot an 81 to land in the Top 15 while
Patrick Gogarty (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) and
Caleb Dolan (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) tied for 16th just a stroke behind Leppo.
Mac Arida's (Gambrills, Md./Crofton) 83 to tie for 21st and local
Kyle Roddy's (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) first collegiate outing ending in an 86 good enough to tie for 24th rounds out the Top 25 Blazers.
On the Leaderboard
Hood finished 1st of the seven teams competing. McDaniel, Stevenson's A Team, and Albright trailed by 10 strokes or less.
Will Kujawa (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) shot a 70 to put himself at the top of the leaderboard. Kohut trailed him by three strokes while McDaniel's Sam Telljohan shot a 74 to take the third spot. McDaniel had three golfers finish in the Top 10.
