The Blazers came out the gate fast and earned a penalty corner within two minutes into the contest.

Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) took the shot for Hood but was saved by Eastern's goalkeeper.

The Blazers attack continued to test the Eagles defense as Kate Haufe (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) would join the party and fire off a shot that was saved.

Moreno's first attempt didn't fall but it wouldn't take long for teammate Sydney Fleming (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) to find her again and assist the goal to give the Blazers a 1-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Blazers looked to stayed aggressive throughout the second quarter by firing of shots, but nothing was able to fall.

The Eagles sensing the Blazers aggressive approach to the game looked to match their energy by taking shots of their own but were unable to counter and entered halftime down 1-0 to the Blazers.

Midway through the third quarter, Eastern scored a goal to tie the game at 1-1.

It wouldn't take the Blazers long to respond as Bianca Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) would score her first goal of the season to give Hood a 2-1 lead.

Early into the fourth quarter the Blazers looked to separate from Eastern with shots from Bianca Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) and Sydney Fleming (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) but both shots were saved by the Eagles goalkeeper.

With time slipping away in the fourth quarter, the Eagles knew urgency was key and responded with a late goal in the final minutes of regulation to tie the game 2-2.

Just seconds remaining in regulation the Blazers earned a penalty corner.

Sydney Fleming (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) would find Ellie Dainton (Mays Landing, NJ./Saint Joseph Academy) who fired off a shot that was saved.

The overtime period began for the Blazers and Eagles but neither team was able to find the net.
