Labows saves his way to Rookie of the Year honors

FREDERICK, Md. – With the conclusion of the 2025 men's soccer season, the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth announced that first-year Adam Labows (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) was named the conference's Rookie of the Year for his play during the season.

Labows was outstanding in net, finishing the season with six clean sheets, two of which came against conference rivals. He made several incredible saves to help the Blazers hold on to one-goal wins against Alvernia and Albright and keep his team in the playoff picture. This level of play impressed enough coaches in the conference to not only earn a spot on the All-Conference team as an Honorable Mention but was named the conference's Rookie of the Year.

This marks the second time the Blazers have had a player receive this award as Clay Smith was given the honor in 2016, the last time before this season Hood had qualified for the playoffs.
