FREDERICK, Md. – With the conclusion of the 2025 women's volleyball season, it was announced that outside hitter
Ann Ofoegbu (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) was named to the MAC Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team for her play during the season.
Ofoegbu, a senior, was a rock the team could rely on this season, finishing the year with 320 kills. Not only that, but she also became the fourth player in program history to reach the 1,000-kill mark, and her 1,196 career kills at the end of her final year places her second all-time in the program. Ofoegbu was essential to the team's success this year, helping defeat MAC Commonwealth rival York for the first time in program history with 23 kills. At the end of the season in a win-and-in match against Widener, she came away with her best performance of the season, leading the way with 26 kills as the Blazers completed a reverse sweep at home to clinch a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Championships for the first time since 2015.
Despite being knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, Hood will look to build on the momentum of this season when it returns in the fall of 2026
