FREDERICK, Md. - With the release of the All-MAC Commonwealth postseason awards, it was announced that seniors
Garrison Linton (New Market, Md./Oakdale) and
Garrett Cox (Glen Allen, VA/Glen Allen) both earned First-Team honors for their play in the 2024-25 season that saw the Blazers average 88.3 points per game, the most in the conference, and qualify for the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Linton ended the season leading the team with 349 points, a 54 percent field goal percentage (3rd MAC Commonwealth), 154 rebounds, 155 assists (1st MAC Commonwealth), and 42 steals (3rd MAC Commonwealth). This marks the second year in a row the guard has been awarded First-Team honors, and the third time he has made the All-Conference list overall.
Cox battled through injuries, but still put up 290 points for the third-most on the team, leading the Blazers with a 48 percent three-point shooting percentage. The forward also finished with 15.3 PPG (6th MAC Commonwealth) and had the most blocks on the team with 12. This is the second time Cox has made the All-Conference list, and the first time he's been given First-Team honors.
Hood was also ranked No. 21 in the country early in the season, its highest achieved rank in program history.
