Â
How it Happened
Â
RIley Kodidek's aces helped the knights jump out to a 10-2 lead.
Blake Catts' (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Cape Henlopen) effort resulted in a kill and a block to give his team life in the first set. Casas and
Brendan Stutz (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) also contributed with kills of their own. Errors by the Blazers made it difficult to get going in the first set. The Knights took the opening set 25-11.
 Â
The second set was a different story. Hood came out with momentum from multiple kills by Casas. Arcadia's errors made room for the Blazers, and they took advantage early-on. However, Hood was not settled in yet and got in their own way by committing errors. Arcadia pulled away to close the second set 25-17.
The Blazers looked their best in the third set. Casas kept it going and
Zander Kirchner's (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) pair of aces helped Hood build a 14-11 lead. The Knights adjusted and strung together five kills to reclaim the lead, take the set, and seal the game. Arcadia won 25-21.

Sean Seely's (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage High School) play shined through for the Blazers,
Justin Browne's (Lorton, Va./South County) too. Blocks from Casas, Seely, and
Brendan Stutz (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) sealed what was a competitive first set 25-23 and put Hood in a good position.
Regent lookedÂ
to bounce back in the second set. The action was tightly contested with neither team sustaining a run to separate from the other. Bravo was able to facilitate and set multiple teammates up to get kills. Aaron Campbell went on a run to get multiple kills and take the second set for the Royals 25-19.
