LEBANON, Pa – The Blazers sweep awards at the Pull the Pin LBC Charger Spring Invitational with
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) capturing the top spot on the individual scoreboard while the team tallies a 623 to take the team competition for the third time this season during the Monday and Tuesday 36-hole tournament.
On the Scorecards
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) shoots a career low 72 featuring four birdies and four bogeys to match to play even golf. His day two 75 added two more birdies and an eagle on Hole 17 with a shot from 117 yards out to hole out. Kohut set his 36-hole high with the 147 in his first medal round of his young collegiate career.
Nathan Leppo (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) followed closely in 2
nd place with his 36-hole career best in 150. The first day included birdies on Hole 1, 7, and 9 for his 73 but round two saw pars on eight of nine holes on the back nine to close out his 150 weekend.
Will Kujawa (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) snuck into the Top 10 as his ninth-place finish saw a 77 with two birdies while an 81 on day two with two birdies on the front nine rounded out his weekend.
Rowan Foose (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) battled to earn his respective 169 on the weekend. He birdied Hole 2, 7 and 17 while played cleaner golf on the back nine of both rounds.
Cameron Swan (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) rounds out the Blazers with a 177 in his 36 holes and holed two birdies on day one.
On the Leaderboard
The Blazers take first place as a team by eight strokes from the trailing Elizabethtown Jays. This marks a Top 10 two-day score in the program record books.
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) wins the individual tournament six strokes ahead of Reagan Flynn of Lebanon Valley College.
