ASHTON, Pa. – The squad traveled to Neumann for a nonconference matchup and had two rallies on the day that stayed raveled as the Blazers fall 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
In the Batter's Box
Amrit Brown (Asheville, N.C./Asheville) reached base safely twice via free passes.
Jasper Wilfrid (Mountain View, Ca./Mountain View) reached base via single.
Colin Moeller (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) served a base knock in his pinch-hit appearance.
From the Bullpen
Remi Schaber (Memphis, Tenn./Lausanne Collegiate School) allowed one run in two innings of work on one hit.
Neumann 9, Hood 0
Looking at the box score of the first inning, you would been hinted at the fact that this could be a high scoring affair. However, that's why we write these recaps.
Brown led off for the Blazers and was plunked while advancing by wild pitch the next delivery to home plate. The next two would walk and turn the bases loaded with nobody out. The Knights' Netta, who would eventually throw seven innings of one-hit baseball, would retire the next three batters to end the threat and stay on course.
Brown would reach aboard twice at the top of the inning, but would be left stranded. The closest the Blazers would get to scoring would be a seventh inning rally by
Harrison Ludington's (Woodbridge, Va/Forest Park High School) walk followed by a Wilfrid single. Netta would yet again work out of the jam to retire Hood.
