Field Hockey stung by #12 Shenandoah University

Winchester Va – The Hood College field hockey team took to the road against No.12 ranked Shenandoah University and fell to a score of 5-0.  

Inside The Box Score   

Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) had two shots on goal and one defensive save.  

Allie Wallin (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) had eight saves on the night. 
 

How it Happened 

The Blazers had a tall task ahead of them facing off against the Hornets in their first road game of the 2025 season.  

Shenandoah attacked early into the game, with a shot on goal but was saved by Wallin. The Hornets wouldn't stop there, as they continued to press the Blazers defense, Claudia Lenahan gave Shenandoah a 1-0 lead. Shenandoah continued the attack on offense, adding two more goals to quickly grab a 3-0 lead over the blazers at the end of 1st period. The Blazers continued to battle throughout the match but ultimately fell 5-0 to a formidable opponent.  
 

For The Opponent 

Reagan Flory finished the match with a hat-trick. 

Jordan Ivey spent 15 minutes in goal making two saves.  

Analysis  

The Blazers were outshot 20-6 and the Hornets held a 13-3 edge in corners.
