How it Happened  Â
The Blazers were tested early into the contest facing a shot goal in the opening five minutes, but it was saved by Wallin.  The Falcons continued to add pressure on Wallin in goal, who faced a second shot and made a save. However, Messiah's Lexie Zaring was eventually able to open the scoring for the match after crowding the Hood goalkeeper and knocking in the first goal.Â
Â
The second half seemed to have leaned more in favor for the Falcons. Similar to how the first quarter started, Messiah netted their second goal of the game in the first five minutes while taking advantage of a penalty corner opportunity. Then with just under nine minutes remaining in the third the Falcons added on two corner opportunities capitalizing on their second attempt as Lindsey Campione snuck another past Wallin. Â
With an 3-0 deficit the Blazers had their backs on the wall. Before the third quarter came to a close Hood was gifted a penalty corner of their own where Moreno had a try at the Messiah goalie but was unfortunately blocked by a Falcon defender. Â
In the final quarter of play the Falcon's decided to add one more goal to their lead after Lyndsey Gustafson netted her first of the match following another penalty corner. Then as the final buzzer sounded, Messiah University were named the victor taking the match 4-0.Â
