Blazers Battle the Region’s Best at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships

 

New York, NY. - Hood College showed up fueled and ready to go in the Region Championships this past Friday and Saturday to close out their indoor season. Carving out their presence with grit for the women's 3000 meters. 

 

Top Times 

 

The women's team delivered two of the program's most notable results of the meet in the 3000 meters. Senior Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) led the way with a standout performance running a time of 10:20.99 setting a new school record demonstrating her ability to compete at the highest level within the regional field.   

 

First year Maya Carey followed with a significant breakthrough of her own, recording a time of 10:41.85, a 24 second personal best in the 3000 meters reflecting substantial improvement over the season and adding a strong result to the team's distance group.
