Box Score FREDERICK, Md.-The Hood College and Ferrum College men's soccer
teams both won their respective matches Sunday giving each school a
2-0 record in the inaugural BFPE International Fall Classic, held
at Hood's Thomas Athletic Field. By virtue of their undefeated play
in the tournament, and with each team having a plus-seven goal
differential over the weekend, Hood and Ferrum were declared
co-champions.
Hood (3-1) was a 4-1 winner over Marywood University (0-3) in the
second match of the day and Ferrum (4-2) rolled past Christendom
College (1-3), 6-0, in the opening match. In Saturday's action,
Hood beat Christendom 5-1, and Ferrum beat Marywood 2-1 in
overtime.

The Blazers' Guilluame Farges scored twice and Jamie Moore added a
goal-the first of collegiate career-and an assist to help lead the
Blazers to a convincing win.
Ben Snyder also scored for Hood while Thomas Noonan, Shane
McCarrick and Marcelino Rabara added assists. Goalkeeper Chad Baker
had five saves.
The only score Hood allowed was an own goal, credited to Marywood's
Todd O'Donnell, which came in the 83rd minute of the match.
Farges scored twice in the first 17 minutes of the match and Moore
scored at the 32:17 mark to give the Blazers a 3-0 halftime
advantage. The scoring in the second half was reserved for the
final eight minutes when O'Donnell and Snyder traded tallies.
Danny Reynolds had six saves for Marywood.
Noonan, Farges and Rabara were named to the All-Tournament team for
Hood.
Ferrum 6, Christendom 0
Jason Haynes and Wes Tazzar each scored twice and Jack Collins had
a goal and an assist to help Ferrum cruise to the easy victory.
Ryan Hambright also scored for the Panthers and Wusu Sesay
contributed an assist. Goalkeepers Ryan Schilling and Matt Parrish
needed to come up with just one save to record the shutout.
Joseph Hambleton had 10 saves for Christendom in 56 minutes of
action.
Hambright opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Collins and
Tazzar followed with first half to give Ferrum a 3-0 cushion at the
break. Haynes scored consecutive goals to start the second half
Tazzer closed the scoring in the match with a tally at the 68:07
mark.
