TOWSON, Md.--The Goucher College men's lacrosse team defeated
Hood College 24-2 Wednesday afternoon in a Capital Athletic
Conference contest.
Hood drops to 0-11 overall and 0-6 in the CAC, while the Gophers
improve to 3-4 overall, 2-2 CAC.
After Dan Flamholz got the Gophers on the board in the first
minute of the game with one of his team-high six goals, Hood's
Jason Anderson knotted the game up at 1-1 with his 15th tally of
the season.
Goucher then netted six straight goals before Anderson fed Blake
Rust for his fifth score of the season at the 1:28 mark.
However, Hood was held scoreless for the final three quarters
and got off just six shots the rest of the afternoon.
Sam Hofmann made 25 saves in goal for the Blazers.
Hood returns to action Wednesday, April 4, at McDaniel College.
Face-off is slated for 4 p.m.
