FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's lacrosse team (1-5) fell
19-3 to the visiting Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets (3-0) in
a nonconference game Wednesday afternoon.
Randolph-Macon registered the first four goals of the afternoon
until Hood's leading scorer Troy Hubbard notched an unassisted
tally, his seventh of the spring, to make it 4-1 RMC. Jake Leddy
collected back-to-back scores as the Yellow Jackets closed the
quarter up 6-1.
Doug Hendricks scored his first goal of the season 3:15 into the
second period as Hood limited the potent Yellow Jacket offense to
just three goals in the quarter. Kris Miner added his sixth goal of
the season off a feed from Corey Roberts and the Blazers trailed
9-3 at halftime.
RMC doubled its score in the third quarter, amassing nine goals
on 19 shots to assume an 18-3 advantage. Hood was unable to find
the back of the net in the second half and the Yellow Jackets
remained perfect on the season.
Leddy finished with a game-high four goals while Kevin Patton
and Brian Rowe each tallied hat tricks for the visitors. Patton
also dished out five assists in the victory.
Nick O'Brien stopped 10 shots for Hood while Adam Liberto, Ray
Wodarski and Jason Crawford combined for 12 stops for
Randolph-Macon. Hector Montoya won nine face-offs for the Blazers
while RMC's JR Sander was credited with 14 wins at the X.

Conference rival Marymount University at Washington & Lee High
School in Arlington, Va. Face-off is slated for 8 p.m.
