NEWPORT NEWS, Va.--Sophomore Kris Miner netted his second hat
trick of the season for the Hood College men's lacrosse team (1-7)
in a 20-5 loss to the Christopher Newport University Captains (5-2)
Saturday evening.
Miner tallied three unassisted scores to raise his goal total on
the season to nine. Troy Hubbard and George Mineff also added
unassisted goals in the second half to round out the scoring for
Hood.
Rob Koster finished with six points on four goals and two
assists for the Captains, who led 13-2 at halftime.
Nick O'Brien turned away 15 CNU shot attempts while Hector
Montoya won 10-of-26 face-offs for the Blazers.
Hood hosts Wesley College Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a Capital
Athletic Conference tilt.
