Box Score READING, Pa.--Senior Megan Cahill and sophomore Morgan Cole scored for the Hood College field hockey team (2-12, 0-7 Commonwealth) in a 6-2 Commonwealth Conference setback at Albright College (9-7, 2-5 Commonwealth) Friday afternoon.
The Blazers trailed 3-0 before Cole got the Blazers on the board with her team-leading ninth goal with just 1:52 remaining before halftime. Cahill pocketed her fifth goal of the season off one of Hood's four penalty corners in the 50th minute. Miriah Stone picked up her third assist of the fall on the score.
Liz Decembrino faced a whopping 38 shots on the day in the cage and made nine saves while Emily Richardson registered five defensive saves for the Blazers. Additionally, Anna Kate Smith attempted two shots while Alysa Billeter had one.
Allison Dombrowski had a goal and two assists and Kaitlyn Pietrusewicz scored twice for the Lions.
Hood welcomes the Bridgewater College Eagles to Thomas Athletic Field Sunday for a 2:30 p.m. nonconference contest. The Blazers will also be hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness event at Sunday's game and will be selling t-shirts to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
