Field Hockey Blanked by Lebanon Valley 6-0

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Five first half goals were too much to overcome as the Hood College field hockey team fell to the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen 6-0.

The Blazers fell behind 1:37 into the game when Melissa Brosious was open by the left post and put home a redirection off a corner. 

Less than four minutes later, Lyndee Sheaffer made it 2-0 for the Dutchmen when she found the ball in a scrum infront of the cage.

At 6:40, Megan Arnst made it 3-0 when a rebound found her at the left post and she put it into the cage.

Lauren Brumbach sscored a penalty stroke goal at 9:21. Brosious scored another goal at 26:31 to end the first half scoring. 

Emily Richardson (Sykesville, Md. / Century) recorded the only shot for Hood.

Ying Van Schaik (Easton, Md. / Gunston Day School) faced 35 shots and made 18 saves in the cage for the Blazers.

Hood will next play on October 19 against Alvernia.
