OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Hood College trailed by just two at halftime, but a big second half by Stevenson put the match out of reach as the Blazers fell 7-0.

Allison Kagel scored the first of her four goals in the 12th minute, followed by a Caitlin Dempsey goal two minutes later.

From there, Hood allowed just three more shots over the rest of the half and went into the intermission trailing just 2-0.

The Mustangs pulled away with five goals in the first 17:40 of the second half.

Alexa Rubano (Wallingford, Conn. / Lyman Hall) had five saves for Hood in 53 minutes. Jessica Sedgwick (Fairfield, Conn. / Cushing Academy) stopped one shot over the final 17.

In addition to four goals by Kagel, Dempsey had two goals and two assists.

Hood wraps up the regular season with a home game against Bryn Mawr on November 1.
