Box Score FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's lacrosse fell to visiting Albright in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest, 17-4.
Eddie Somerville (Bayport, N.Y. / Bayport-Blue Point) scored three times for the Blazers; and had eight ground balls and two caused turnovers. Nick Druelinger (Joppa, Md. / John Carroll) added a goal and an assist. Grayson Zubradt (Elmhurst, Ill. / York Community) had an assist. John Hoffman (New Market, Md. / Oakdale) made 12 saves.
Somerville scored his first goal just 42 seconds into the game for a 1-0 Hood lead. Albright scored the next three goals before Somerville struck again. He took a feed from Zubradt to cut the deficit to 3-2 with 4:50 left in the first quarter.
The Lions pulled away with an eight-goal surge in the second quarter. Cam Cetrone scored five goals and assisted on another during the run that put Albright ahead 11-2 at halftime.
Druelinger had a hand in both second half goals for the Blazers. He scored in the third quarter and assisted on Somerville's final goal in the fourth.
Cetrone scored a game-high six goals and had two assists. Derek Stump dished out eight assists. Tyler Strayline and James Egleston scored three goals apiece. Ryan Aler made nine saves in the first 45 minutes. Conor Scafidi replaced him in the fourth quarter and stopped three shots.
Hood travels to Messiah on Apr. 13.
