FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College field hockey team scored a season-high six goals against Notre Dame (Md.) at Thomas Athletic Field to lead the Blazers to a 6-1 victory.

Inside the Box Score

• Six different Blazers hit the back of the cage with assists credited on two of the scores.
• Hailey Poisal had four saves in 57 minutes. Nicole Bennett played the last 13 minutes.

How it Happened

• Rylie Benoit-Nobis knocked in the first score in the 14th minute.
• Two more scores were tallied by Rachael Bennett, and Alexandra Backos, who scored her first collegiate goal, to finish off the first period.
• Savannah Branch found the goal 90 seconds into the second half.
• In the 40th minute, Bennett hit a long pass to Lili Wysiekierski who one timed it past the keeper.
• Naomi Garcia summed up the scoring with an unassisted goal after a scrum in the box.

Notes

• Jessica Wells spoiled the Blazers' shutout after an assist from Megan Morales with two and a half left on the clock.
