How it Happened
- Hood led four times early in the opening including on a kill by MacKenzi Wright (Hagerstown, MD/South Hagerstown) and another by Ambruster. The Blazers went ahead 6-5 on an attack error by Stevenson but an 8-1 run by the Mustangs gave the home team control of the set.
- Stevenson opened the second set with an 11-4 run and the Blazers were never able to pull closer than five points the rest of the way as the Mustangs took a 2-0 lead in the match.
- A kill by Malitzki sparked a quick run that put Hood up 3-1 in the third set. Stevenson, however, scored the next 14 points to pick up the sweep.
For the Opponent
- Rileigh Kimball and Shannon Baily had nine kills each for the Mustangs. Kimball added five aces and three blocks.
- Samantha Simmers dished out 14 assists.
- Kayla Vaeth recorded 15 digs.
