FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's lacrosse team earned the second win of the season with a 16-3 victory led by
Colby Gallagher, who scored five times against Washington & Jefferson.

How It Happened
- The Blazers scored the only goals in the first quarter. Gallagher led the Blazers with two goals during the run while Scott scored once. The second Gallagher goal was at 4:28 and rounded out the first quarter scoring pushing the Blazer lead to 3-0 going into the second.
- The Presidents got on the board early in the second as Alex Strain found the back of the net at 12:29 to lessen the lead to 3-1.
- Hood went on to score the next ten goals against Washington & Jefferson over the span of the second and fourth quarter. Wiley led the run, scoring three goals, two came in the second quarter with 2:56 remaining. Hand netted two in a row to end the second quarter with less than two minutes left on assisted goals by McKendry and Joe Alston to give the Blazers the 7-1 lead going into the second half.
- In the third, Gallagher scored twice to lead the Blazer scoring, both unassisted. Scott scored his second off a McDermott assists to extend the lead to 8-1 with 14:08 left in the third.
- Less than a minute later, Wiley completed his hat-trick off an assist by Muldoon at 13:02 to push the score to 9-1.
- Scott scored his third of the day at 10:45 off an assist from Jay Lanigan in the fourth to round out the Blazers ten-goal run.
- Strain scored his second of the game with 7:18 left in the game to bring the score to 13-2 in favor of Hood.
- The Blazers scored the next three goals by Gallagher from Muldoon, Bross off an assist from McDermott and McKendry from Muldoon. The McKendry tally was the final goal of the game for the Blazers with 1:58 remaining to secure a 16 goal scoring contest.
- The Presidents netted the final goal of the game with 1:11 remaining as Sam Snider found the back of the goal to make the final score 16-3 in favor of Hood.

- Alex Strain led with two goals for Washington & Jefferson.
- Sam Snider added one goal and Zach Mey recorded an assist for the Presidents.
