HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Hood College men's lacrosse team earned a dominate 18-8 road win over the Juniata College Eagles on Saturday.

How It Happened
- Hitchens got the scoring started early for the Blazers, scoring two seconds into the first half to earn the very early 1-0 lead with 14:58 remaining.
- Juniata's Aiden Duran scored the next two goals to give the Eagles the 2-0 lead with 7:51 remaining in the first.
- The Blazers answered the Duran goals with an 11-goal run during the second half of the first quarter and the second quarter. Gallagher led the run with three goals while Lanigan, Muldoon and Wiley all netted two goals during the run.
- Muldoon scored an unassisted goal to start the run with 6:34 left in the first quarter. Lanigan netted his first of the day 24 seconds later off an assist by Hand to take the 3-2 lead.
- Wiley scored two in a row for the Blazers with 1:58 remaining in the first to take the three-goal lead 5-2.
- Six seconds after Gallagher netted his first goal of the game with 1:23 remaining, first-year McKiniry scored after winning the face off to make the score 7-2 in favor of the Blazers with 1:17 remaining in the first.
- Gallagher rounded out the first quarter scoring with his second of the day off an assist by Adam Weintraub to extend the lead 8-2 going into the second quarter.
- Gilsdorf from Wiley, Gallagher from McDermott, Lanigan from Gallagher and Mudoon unassisted were the scoring combinations in the second quarter to push the Blazers to a 12-2 lead over the Eagles with 1:53 remaining in the second.
- Juniata answered the 11-goal run with one of their own by Jack Loucks from Jacob Wallman with 1:07 remaining to end the scoring for the first half to make the score 12-3 going into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, the Blazers went on a four-goal run with strikes by Gilsdorf from Kyle Scott, Muldoon and Hand assisted by Luke Harned to extend the lead to 15-3 with 12:01 remaining in the third.
- The Eagles responded with a three-goal run with goals from Loucks and two from Duran to make the score 15-6 with 4:28 remaining in the third.
- Muldoon scored his fourth of the day off an assist by McDermott to round out the scoring for the third with 41 seconds left to extend the score 16-6.
- McDermott added his name to the scoring column as he buried a shot from Wiley to make the score 17-6 over the Eagles with 14:34 left in the game.
- Juniata's Wallman scored twice in a row three minutes apart to lessen the lead to nine 17-8 with 4:23 remaining.
- Gallagher scored his fourth to round out the games scoring and to secure the 18-8 win over the Eagles with 2:09 left on the clock.
For the Opponent
- Aiden Duran recorded five points on four goals and one assist for the Eagles.
- Jack Loucks and Jacob Wallman both scored twice.
- Charlie Newman caused four turnovers while picking up one ground ball.
- Justin Toney and Matt McCleary won a team-high five ground balls for Juniata.
- Toney recorded 19 saves against the Blazers and played 44:40 minutes. Gavin Jackson played for 15:20 minutes and earned three saves.
