CARLISLE, Pa. – The Hood College women's basketball team could not find a shooting groove against the Dickinson College Red Devils, as the Blazers fell 58-29 in non-conference play.

Tiffany Manning (Randallstown, Md./Western Tech) finished with 13 points, shooting 45 percent from the field.
Chanelle Lee (Brunswick, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep) came down with seven rebounds, adding three assists as well.
How it Happened
Hood got off to a good start with Manning and Lee making two layups to give themselves a 4-2 lead just a few minutes into the quarter, but Dickinson's offense made seven out of their next 10 shots while holding the Blazers to just two more points to take a strong 21-6 lead into the second quarter.
The second quarter again started with Hood getting the first points, going on a 6-0 run in the first two minutes of play, but Dickinson kept pace with the Blazers, scoring just one more point than them overall to give themselves a 32-16 advantage at
halftime.
Lee and Manning both made free throws to start the second half, but the Red Devils answered with back-to-back three-pointers to retake control of the third quarter going tit-for-tat with the Blazers to extend their lead to 44-25 entering the final frame.
Dickinson made sure there was not a chance for a fourth-quarter comeback, going on a 12-2 run over the first 6:30 of the period before Indatou Ali-Goukoye closed the scoring with a layup with just under 30 seconds left in the game.
For the Opponent
Clair Marion led the Red Devils with 24 points, shooting 62 percent from the field while going 5-9 from beyond the arc.
Caitlan Blackman ended the day with 16 points and four rebounds.
Analysis
Dickinson shot 43 percent from the field compared to Hood's 27 percent.
The Red Devils edged out the Blazers' points in the paint 16-14.
Notes
When asked about the outcome of the game, Head Coach DéRonté Polite said, "Dickinson is a really good basketball team. We competed really well in moments but you have to play a complete game to beat teams of that caliber. We are working... We will get there. We will not quit."
