YORK, Pa. - The Hood College women's basketball team trailed by just one in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter, but York (Pa.) closed the game with an 18-5 run to defeat the Blazers 59-45 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth action.

- An and-one by Wright with 8:56 left in the game pulled Hood within 41-40.
- Taylor Burda knocked down a 3-pointer on the Spartans' next possession to start York's game-breaking run. The Spartans made just four field goals during the run, only two more than the Blazers, but went 9-for-11 at the free throw line to pull away.
- Hood trailed 30-22 early in the third quarter before Clouse and Wright combined for nine points during a 15-7 run. Clouse scored to tie the game at 37-37 late in the period before two Savannah Wilson free throws gave York a two-point lead heading into the fourth.
- In the first half, the Blazers held the Spartans to just 7-for-27 shooting, including 3-for-12 in the first period.
- Back-to-back buckets by Clouse gave Hood a 16-11 lead with 6:26 left in the half, which proved to be the Blazers' largest of the game. York held the Hood to just two more points over the rest of the period, however, and the Spartans claimed a 23-22 halftime lead.
