Bryan Seavey (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) scored five times to lead the men's lacrosse team to 17-11 victory at Virginia Wesleyan in non-conference play.

How it Happened
- Lanigan scored twice during a 4-1 run to open the game for Hood before the Blazers settled for a 5-3 lead at the conclusion of the quarter.
- Seavey found the back of the net three times during the second quarter as Hood outscored the Marlins 5-1 to go into halftime with a 10-4 lead.
- Muldoon had two goals and an assist during the opening minutes of the third quarter, enabling the Blazers to extend the lead to 14-6 after another goal by Seavey with 6:14 left in the third. Liam Murphy scored back-to-back goals for Virginia Wesleyan to help the Marlins cut the deficit to 14-9 at the end of the third.
- Neither team scored for over eight minutes to open the fourth quarter before Myzaiah Harris chipped away further at the Blazers' lead with 6:48 to go in the game. Wiley, Lanigan and McDermott each scored once in the next 3:40 to end any chance of a comeback.
