How it Happened

The River Hawks offense struck first with a goal scored by Matthew Faggioli with 12:15 in the first quarter. Hood answered less than two minutes later to tie the game 1-1 with a goal by Gilsdorf with 10:29 on the clock. The final goal of the first quarter was scored by Chris Ciccarello on a man-up opportunity with 8:36 on the clock. The Riverhawks had a 2-1 advantage going into the second quarter.

Susquehanna scored four goals in less than three minutes during the second quarter. Faggioli scored at 10:53. Ciccarello scored at 9:55 and Kieran Thomas the next two for a five-goal lead with 8:44 on the clock. Neither team scored again in the first half as the River Hawks entered halftime with a 6-1 lead.

The River Hawks' continued the run into the second half, outscoring the Blazers 6-0 in the third and adding another to open the fourth quarter for a 13-1 lead with 14:54 left. Steven Musser and Brennan Lorence had two goals apiece during the third quarter and opening moments of the fourth.

The Blazers tried to slow Susquehanna's momentum with a goal by Wile at 13:54, but Ted Zabrorowski found the back of the net 10 seconds later.
