OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson jumped out to a 10-goal lead after the first quarter, which proved too much for Hood College to overcome in a 23-8 road loss in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

How it Happened
- Eight different players scored in the first period for the Mustangs including two goals and two assists from Andrew Searing. Shane Ford scored with 57 seconds left in the quarter to give Stevenson a 10-0 lead.
- After two more goals by Stevenson, Muldoon scored first goal for the Blazers with an assist from Seavey on a man up opportunity at 11:04 in the quarter. Four different Mustangs scored to close out the first half to make it 16-1.
- The Mustangs tacked on two goals to start the second half. Wiley tried to slow the momentum with a goal with 7:37 left, but Stevenson scored two more times to make the score 20-2 to stretch the lead to eighteen. Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) scored the final goal of the period with an assisted by McDermott.
- Hood scored five goals in the fourth period with two by Wiley and one apiece from Colby Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan), McDermott and Seavey.
