FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College men's lacrosse team captured its first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth win of the season with a 13-4 victory over Alvernia University.

- McDermott scored the first goal of the game at the 13:20 mark in the first period and Rizzolino added a goal just over a minute later, assisted by Seavey, to help Hood grab a 2-0 lead.
- The Golden Wolves' Kenny Howley scored their first goal of the game with 5:53 left in the period.
- Wiley extended the Blazer lead with a goal to give Hood a 3-1 lead after one period.
- The Blazers outscored Alvernia 5-0 in the second period behind two goals by Wiley and a goal each from Austin Palmer (Marlboro, N.Y./Marlboro Central), Aiden Gilsdorf and Muldoon to extend Hood's lead to 8-1 at halftime.
- Seavey had back-to-back goals to start the third period to cap a 7-0 run by the Blazers.
- The Golden Wolves added two goals by Kyle Patton and Howley to end the third period down 10-3.
- Alvernia's final goal was scored by Ryan Gilman at the 12:25 mark of the final period.
- Michael Hilliard (Easton, Pa./Central Catholic), Wiley and Seavey all found the back of the net in the final period to give the Blazers a 13-4 win.
