FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College outscored visiting Lebanon Valley 5-0 over the final 18:46 to come back for a 12-9 win in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth men's lacrosse play.

How it Happened
- A goal by the Dutchmen's Jake Bollinger with 3:46 left in the third gave LVC a 9-7 lead.
- Hitchens won three of the last four face offs in the quarter, allowing the Blazers to finish the quarter with a flurry. Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) scored with 2:34 left in the third to make it a one-goal game. At 1:52, Gilsdorf took a pass from Seavey and deposited it into the net, tying the game at 9-9.
- LVC won the next face off, but Dudziak came up with a save and Rizzolino got the ground ball. Hood held the ball until Wiley scored with just 13 seconds on the clock to send the Blazers into the fourth with a 10-9 lead.
- Hood kept the momentum going into the fourth. Hitchens won the opening faceoff and Austin Palmer (Marlboro, N.Y./Marlboro Central) scored off an assist from McDermott for a two-goal lead.
- The Blazer defense caused three of Lebanon Valley's five turnovers over the next eight minutes before Wiley put the game away with his fourth goal with 5:47 remaining.
- Dudziak was tested twice in net down the stretch, stopping both shots to help preserve the win.
- Both offenses started the game quickly. After Bollinger started the scoring barely a minute into the action, Seavey tied it up at 12:39.
- Goals by Bollinger and Carson Frey over the next eight-plus minutes gave the Dutchmen a 3-1 lead before Hood took advantage of Dutchmen penalty with 2:39 left on a goal by Wiley to make it 3-2 after one period.
- The Blazers trailed 5-3 but surged over the final 4:11 of the half. Wiley pulled Hood within a goal and Seavey used a pass from Luke Harned (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) to tie the game at 1:04.
- Hitchens won the final faceoff of the half and McDermott found Seavey, who beat the buzzer to give the Blazers a 6-5 lead.
- Bollinger scored three times during a 4-1 run for LVC to open the second half.
