How it Happened

- Hitchens won the ensuing face off and on Hood's third shot of the possession, Rio Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./DeMatha Catholic) found the back of the net with 10:14 on the clock.Â
- Rizzolino caused a turnover after the Pride won the face off. A ground ball by Connor Bross (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) kept the possession alive for Seavey to create his first goal of the night, making it 4-3 at 9:38.Â
- Neither team scored for over four minutes until Connor Heisman stretched Widener's lead to 5-3. Michael Hilliard's (Easton, Pa./Central Catholic) first of the season with 3:48 left in the half cut the margin to 5-4 but Heisman struck again to make it a two-goal game at the break.Â
