LANCASTER, Pa. - The Hood College field hockey team scored three second half goals and the defense held Lancaster Bible scoreless in a 3-0 non-conference victory.

Maddy Dillon (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) had a goal and an assist for the Blazers, who won their second straight.
Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and
Kylie Roessler (Tewksbury, N.J./Vorhees) also scored, while
Phebe Frost (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) added an assist.
Richana Brown (Dover, Del./Dover) made one save in 54 minutes, with
Kindal Davis (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) relieving her for the final six minutes.
How it Happened
Hood had nine shots in the first half, but only three were on cage. The defense did its part, however, limiting the Chargers to just two shots over the span of seven seconds over the entire first two periods.
The offense found its stride in the third quarter, scoring twice in a span of 2:24. Dillon scored at 34:22 for a 1-0 lead. The next goal came off a corner with Frost providing the assist on a Moreno score to make it 2-0.
Roessler made it a three-goal lead at 54:23 with an assist by Dillon.
Defensively, Hood did not allow a shot in the second half.
Analysis
The Blazers outshot LBC 14-2 and had a 9-2 advantage in penalty corners.
For the Opponent
Amanda Hoover went the distance in goal, stopping four shots.
Notes
Hood improved to 2-2 on the year and is undefeated in two road matches. The Chargers dipped to 1-2.
