HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Hood College field hockey team scored three times in the third period for its third win in a row with a 3-0 win at Eastern Mennonite.

Lillie Kodrin (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) and
Kate Bentz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) also scored for Hood, while
Maddy Dillon (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) recorded an assist.
Richana Brown (Dover, Del./Dover) played the opening 45 minutes in goal and made two saves.
Kindal Davis (Suffolk, Va./Lakeland) went untested in the fourth quarter.
How it Happened
Hood outshot the Royals 10-2 in the first half but the sides went into the intermission scoreless.
The Blazers wasted little time in the third taking control with a pair of goals 50 seconds apart in the 37th minute. Hackett found Bentz, who gave Hood the lead at 36:05 and then Hackett was the recipient of Dillon's assist for a 2-0 lead.
Kodrin put the match away with a score late in the 43rd minute.
Analysis
With their second-straight shutout, Hood ran its scoreless streak to over 150 minutes.
The Blazers held a 32-3 advantage in shots and 11-0 in penalty corners.

Gracyn Arruda stopped 11 shots for the Royals.
Notes
Hood improved to 3-2 on the year, while EMU slipped to 1-4.
