Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Hood College women's volleyball forced a fifth set against Eastern Mennonite but fell 3-2 before Meredith dispatched the Blazers in three sets on the first day of the Battlefield Classic at Gettysburg College.

The Avenging Angels won 25-9, 25-10, 25-12.

Sami Betley (Bel Air, Md./Mercy) finished with 10 kills in her collegiate debut against Eastern Mennonite. 

Jackie Malitzki (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) had 30 total assists, while Ainslee Barger (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) dished out 17. 

MacKenzi Wright's (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) 17 digs against EMU gave her 22 on the evening.
