ALLENTOWN, Pa. - It took a second overtime period, but the Hood College field hockey team stretched its winning streak to eight games, defeating Cedar Crest College 2-1.

How it Happened
The game was locked at 1-1 after the first overtime period, but Butler made sure the second overtime would be the game's last, scoring four minutes into it to win the game for Blazers and keep the winning streak alive.
Hood needed a comeback just to get to overtime. With less than 10 minutes in the fourth quarter, Frost found Oberholtzer, who hit the back of the cage to tie the match.
The two teams were scoreless in the first half, the Falcons broke through six minutes into the third quarter on a goal by Kylah Demarest to take a 1-0 lead.

Hood outshot Cedar Crest 23-7, while also holding a 10-3 advantage in penalty corners.
