How it Happened

Moving to the second quarter where the Blazers had trouble clearing the ball from the front of their goal resulting in the equalizer.

Minutes later, on a quick restart from Alvernia turned into a steal by Kate Bentz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) who quickly dished it to Scally who sent a screamer past the goalie to retake the lead.

With six minutes left in the third, a penalty corner shot caught a bad bounce and made it past the Blazer keeper in the net for another tie.

The Blazer pressure continued with a shot and rebound by Emma Numme (Shrub Oak, NY/Lakeland) but her efforts weren't denied as she found D'Agostino for her first goal of the season to take the lead into the fourth.

The fourth quarter saw a Hood lead diminish and the deficit appear in a flash with two goals with a minute and a half.
