WILKES BARRE, Pa. – The Hood College men's lacrosse team induced a back-and-forth battle as they defeated the Monarchs of Kings College 13-11.

- Connor Flok (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) led the Blazer offense with three goals and three assists picking up six points on the day.
- Robbie Wiley (York, Pa./Central York) and Rio Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./DeMatha Catholic) each scored three goals in the game.
- Sammy Patnaik (Fairfax, Va./Robinson Secondary) led Hood's defense causing two turnovers and scooping up three groundballs.

How it Happened
- Early in the first quarter King's College opened up the game's scoring putting two in the back of the net in the first eight minutes of play. The Blazers put together a hasty response going on a four-goal run to take the lead. Following the second Monarch goal Aidan Gilsdorf (Frederick, Md./Gov Thomas Johnson) put Hood on the board with 6:32 on the clock. A minute later Muldoon found the back of the net to tie up the scoring at two points even. Then with three minutes remaining in the quarter, Wiley scored driving to the net from behind the goal. Just forty seconds after Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) got on the board scoring his goal off an assist from Flok. Heading into the next quarter the score was 4-2 in favor of Hood.
- Hood added to its scoring run early in the second quarter as Flok scored another goal for the Blazers just two minutes in. The Monarchs attempted to fight back as they scored two goals back-to-back getting within one point of Hood. James Fay (Howell, N.J./Howell) extended the Blazers' lead bringing Hood up by two points but the Monarch's Ben Spencer brought the scoring differential back to one point as he scored a minute later. Then three and a half minutes before halftime good shots by Muldoon and Wiley gave Hood a three-point cushion with a score of 8-5 going into the third quarter of play.
- King's started the third quarter scoring first with a goal by Ryan Barnes. Muldoon responded with a goal of his own a minute later. Hood then tacked on two more goals to make the score 11 to 7 halfway through the quarter. Then with three and a half minutes to go before the final quarter of play the Monarch's snuck two goals in as the scoreboard read 11-9 heading into the fourth.
- In the last quarter of play Regan Tesche (Avondale, Pa./Salesianum School) found the back of the net to bring Hood up three points. Ben Spencer struck back for King's a minute later. Each team added on one goal before the final buzzer as the final score was 13-11 in favor of the Blazers.
