How it Happened
- An early man-up goal by Kyle Moats put the Golden Wolves up 1-0 just two minutes into gametime. Then with five minutes left in the quarter Muldoon found the back of the net scoring a goal off an assist from Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) to even out the score at one going into the second quarter.
- The next quarter started like the first with an early Golden Wolves strike followed by a Blazer goal by McDermott to tie up the scoring at two. Then with five minutes to go until halftime Alvernia put one in the back of the net to go up 3-2.
- In the penultimate quarter of the game Hood went on a three-goal scoring run curtesy of shots by Wiley, Isiac Nafziger (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor), and Connor Flok (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus). The Blazers led 5-3 heading into the fourth quarter.
- The Blazers continued their run, scoring two more goals thanks to Wiley and Gilsdorf to start out the first two minutes of the final quarter. With hopes of a late game come back Alvernia's Zackary Moats found the back of the net to make it 7-4. With little time left and good defensive stands by each team neither would score for the remainder of the game leaving the Hood College Blazers victorious.
