Men's golf competes at Cardinal Fall Classic

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Will Kujawa (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) shoots a 36-hole career low as the men's golf team placed ninth on the 36-hole weekend at the Cardinal Fall Classic at the Black Rock Golf Course, hosted by Catholic University.
 
On the Scorecard
 

Will Kujawa (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) led the Blazers shooting a 74 on Day 1 while his second round ended up one under par for a 71 good enough for spot No. 8 on the leaderboard. On the first day, Kujawa was one of few to Eagle the first hole with three other birdies throughout the round. The next day included five birdies in order for Kujawa to end up under par. The 146 total marks the lowest 36-hole total in Kujawa's collegiate career.
 
Nathan Leppo (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) shot a 77 and a 75 to land in 31st with three birdies total on the first day and birdies on the first two holes with one later on Hole 12 which few were able to copy on the second day.
 
Mac Arida (Gambrills, Md./Crofton) shot a pair of 78's for 47th including a pair of birdies on the first 18 and another on the next.
 
Brady Leonard (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) shot 80's on both days to land in 54th while claiming two birdies during the first 18 while the second day included two birdies on different holes.
 
Patrick Gogarty (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) rounds out the Blazers with a 165 through both days including for 65th with a promising second day with three birdies.
 
On the Leaderboard
 

Shepherd's A squad took home first in team play shooting a whopping 15 under par.
 
Stevenson led all Division III schools shooting a 584 only eight strokes over par.
 
Three Shepherd student-athletes shot six strokes under par, but at DIII Salisbury's Ryan Henneman shot four strokes under par on the weekend for a 140.
 
Hood placed 9th of the fourteen teams competing with a 613. A mix of DIII, DII, USCAA and JUCO were at the competition.

Next weekend the squad will travel to Abbottstown, PA for the Golden Oaks Shootout at the Hanover Country Club, hosted by Arcadia University.
