The Blazers offense tested the Aggies goalkeeper early into the contest by
Kate Haufe (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park).
Haufe looked to give Hood the early lead with a goal two minutes into the game but was saved by the Aggies.
Shortly after Morgan Hackett (Hampstead, Md./Hereford) would attempt a shot that was blocked and teammate
Ava Snelsire (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) stayed aggressive for the Blazers firing off another shot that was saved.
The Aggies, sensing the Blazers offensive aggressiveness, took a shot of their own that gave Delaware Valley a 1-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Blazers continued to stay aggressive against the Aggies staggering defense but couldn't find the equalizing goal going into the half.
Throughout the third quater it highlighted the defensive prowess on both sides as the Blazers couldn't break even and the Aggies couldn't break away.
With time running out on the Blazers and only three minutes remaining in regulation Hood earned a penalty corner .
