Women’s Basketball hold off Owls

FREDERICK, Md. – The women's basketball team faced off against Bryn Mawr College in a low scoring affair winning 38-30, allowing the least amount of points by an opponent since 2021 on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

The Blazers with the home court advantage jumped out to an earlier 4-0 lead to set the tone for the visiting Owls.

Headed into halftime, Hood led Bryn Mawr 22-20.

Bryn Mawr started the second half more aggressive and tied it early into the third quarter 22-22.

Hood weathered the storm and respond with baskets of their own to go on a 10-0 run to end the third with a 32-25 advantage.

Despite Bryn Mawr's attempts to get back into the game, Hood would hold them off for the remainder of the game and claim another victory early into the season.

"I like the way we have been moving the ball around." says head coach DeRonte Polite, "Despite good ball movement, we still need more shots to go down."
