FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's lacrosse team earned the fourth consecutive win of the season with an 15-11 victory against Husson University.

How it Happened
- The initial quarter of play was all Hood as the team went on a six-goal scoring spree. Muldoon go the ball rolling two minutes in after a caused turnover by Smith to transition goal by Muldoon to give the Blazers the first goal of the game. Three minutes later Robbie Wiley (York, Pa./Central York) found his way on the stat sheet with his first on the day. The Blazers then put two more in the back of the net as Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) score after receiving a pass from Gilsdorf and Yacoubou Adam took a strike after his successful dodge penetrating the Husson defense. With a minute and a half remaining in the quarter Muldoon scored his second after another Gilsdorf assist. Finally, with thirty-nine seconds to go in the quarter Hosanna Nkurunziza (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) scored his first collegiate goal to close out scoring in the first.
- The second quarter seemed to start off similarly to the first as the Blazers stuck again with three more goals to make it 9-0 curtesy of Muldoon (who scored his 100th goal), William Baillieul (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and Lubrano. With things looking hot for Hood Husson managed to find their first goal of the game off a strike by Kiernan Field. As both teams showed strong defensive efforts down the first half stretch Hood go the ball rolling again with 57 seconds. It was none other than Gilsdorf who caught a pass from Ty Lesnak (Silver Spring, Md./Northwood) and put Hood in double digits. Immediately following Gilsdorf's goal Strand battled and won his faceoff match up and took a shot past the Husson goalie scoring his first collegiate goal and giving Hood a 10-goal lead. With the game transitioning to a running clock the first half concluded with a score of 11-1 in favor of the Blazers.
- Coming out of halftime the Eagles snuck two past Hood's goalkeeper cutting the Blazer lead down to seven points. Hood responded with a goal of their own as Matthew Mitcheltree (Bowie, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) found the back of the net. Just three minutes later Husson showed up with a goal by Jack Kaszubinski breathing life back into the Eagles bench. To close out the quarter Lubrano scored his second goal with 13 second remaining. Heading into the final quarter of play the score was 13-5 as the Blazers had an eight-point cushion.
- Starting out the fourth quarter, Yacoubou Adam found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Flok. Just a minute later Flok scored his second point on the day taking a shot after a successful dodge giving the Blazers a 10-point lead once again. With eight minutes left in the quarter, Husson decided to go on a six-point run in attempt to comeback and gain a lead; however, the Eagles were a day late and a dollar short, because as the buzzer sounded Hood remained victorious with a final score of 15-11.

- Hood went 19-for-21 on clears, while Husson was 15-for-24.
- The Blazers had 42 shots compared to the Eagles' 32.

- Kiernan Filed finished a whopping 11 points with seven goals and four assists.
