FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten on the season with an 14-2 win at home over King's College.

How it Happened
- Just three minutes into the first quarter Wiley took advantage of an extra man opportunity, received a pass from Regan Tesche (Avondale, Pa./Salesianum School) and scored the first goal of the game. Roughly four minutes later Wiley knocked back another one for Hood this time off an assit from Lanigan. Going into the second quarter the Blazers led 2-0.
- In the opening faceoff of the second quarter, Strand battled and won a faceoff to himself and found an open Muldoon who scored the third goal of the game. The Blazers added on two more goals this quarter thanks to Aidan Gilsdorf (Frederick, Md./Gov Thomas Johnson) and Lanigan. With a 5 point lead the Blazers were sitting pretty; however, the Monarchs' Jake Cierech sook a strike and scored King's' first. At halftime the score was 5-1 in favor of Hood.
- Wiley opened the second half with his third goal of the day followed by Lanigan to push the Blazers over the Monarch's with a score of 7-1. King's fought back through and found the net for a second time with a goal by Zach Webb. In response, to the Monarchs' goal the Blazers netted three more goals courtesy of Wiley, Muldoon, and Tesche. Hood then manifested a comfortable lead over King's with a score of 10-2 going into the final period.
- In the fourth and final quarter of play the Blazers went on a four-goal run to close out the match. Lanigan got the ball rolling as William Baillieul (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) found him after picking up a ground ball just under a minute into the quarter. Baillieul then scored his first ever collegiate goal after a successful clear by Hood and a caught pass from Connor Flok (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus). Just a minute later Muldoon scored his third goal of the day taking advantage of an extra man opportunity. Lastly, with time running out Aiden Covington (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) scored his first collegiate goal and final goal of the game off a quick dodge solidifying the win for Hood with a score of 14-2.
