How it Happened
The first quarter found the Blazers with plenty of possessions winning the groundball game but with no dice on the offensive end. Those in red & black had no luck with Morris in goal but as time would wind down in the first, a top shelf and one-hop attempt would put Albright up 2-0.
The second would see two more goals and more air high fives for the opposition as they hoped to break Hood's five-game win streak against them.
Isiac Nafziger (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) would break the ice with a top-right wrap around goal to get the Blazers on the board. Wiley would follow with a rip from 15 yards to cut the lead in half.
It looked that Hood would have to take half to talk about climb back but within the final two minutes Tesche answered the call with two goals from the side spot and hard for the keeper to track. Not even 30 seconds in the third,
Rio Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./DeMatha Catholic) finds Tesche on the cut in front of goal to tie up the game.
The juice continued in a man up opportunity with a defender on his seat in front of goal with two Blazers giving him a stick check before
Connor Flok (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) ends up with a ball and gives a over the shoulder shot that found net to put the Blazers up.
Not so fast, Albright responds and ties up the game with twelve minutes to go.
Jay Lanigan (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) receives the feed from Muldoon and his skipped shot finds net and the Blazers go back up and stay up in the fourth. Wiley adds an insurance goal as the shot clock winds down with a sprint and score.
